Everflow: The Elemental Wisdom of Nourishment

Everflow: The Elemental Wisdom of Nourishment

There’s a certain rhythm that begins to pulse through life after giving birth — a rhythm of giving, of pouring out, of constant flow. It’s beautiful and sacred, yes, but also demanding. The postpartum body is still finding its ground while simultaneously being called to sustain another.

That’s what inspired me to create Everflow — a tea born of nourishment, balance, and elemental wisdom.

This is one I use myself — a gentle daily kin that meets me in the spaces between depletion and overflow, helping my system stay centered, nourished, and at ease through the long, love-soaked days of breastfeeding. I was finding myself feeling... dried out. Not my milk supply, but my skin. My hair. My mouth. I was drinking electrolytes and plenty of fluids; I was supplementing properly, and yet... there was still something missing. I didn't necessarily need more milk production. I needed more nutrients. That's when I had the idea to create Everflow.

The Heart of the Formula

Everflow was created for the postpartum body — the one that gives so generously, sometimes to the point of depletion.

This blend brings together four beautiful plant kin:

Nettle leaf, Moringa leaf, Marshmallow root, and Ginger

Each one contributes its own energetic tone and function, creating a balanced ecosystem of nourishment, hydration, and gentle warmth.

The Galactagogue Trinity

Nettle, moringa, and marshmallow are all considered galactagogues — herbs that support healthy lactation. But they each arrive at that goal through a different doorway.

Nettle Leaf (Urtica dioica)

Nettle is what herbalists call an indirect galactagogue. It doesn’t stimulate milk production in a hormonal way — it feeds it. Nettle rebuilds the body’s reserves of iron, calcium, magnesium, and silica — minerals that enrich the blood and, in turn, enrich the milk. When the mother’s blood is well-nourished, the milk naturally follows suit.
Energetically, nettle is structured Water: moist and nutritive, yet tonifying and strengthening, offering both the flow and the form that a new mother needs.

Moringa Leaf (Moringa oleifera)

Moringa is a direct galactagogue. Studies and traditional wisdom alike show that it can help increase prolactin levels and overall milk volume. But it’s also a nutrient powerhouse — rich in amino acids, vitamins, and antioxidants that help restore vitality. Some countries have used the leaves of this "miracle tree of life" to help curtail malnutrition.

While nettle is more cooling and earthy, moringa carries a bit of Fire. It has that gentle metabolic spark that keeps energy and circulation moving, ensuring the nourishment actually reaches where it’s needed.

Marshmallow Root (Althaea officinalis)

Marshmallow works in a more functional way — not stimulating milk, but creating the conditions for flow. Its soothing, moistening nature keeps tissues supple and hydrated, helping prevent the dryness or tension that can sometimes make breastfeeding uncomfortable. It also soothes digestion and supports nutrient absorption — the kind of quiet, behind-the-scenes work that makes nourishment possible.

If nettle and moringa are the body’s building and activating forces, marshmallow is the fluid that keeps the system balanced and easeful.

A Touch of Warmth

To complete the formula, a small amount of ginger was added — the element of Fire.
In Ayurveda and traditional energetics, Fire is what ensures that the waters of the body stay alive and moving. It kindles digestion, circulates nutrients, and keeps the whole system from cooling down too much — which is often what happens postpartum. Just a whisper of ginger harmonizes the blend, helping the body absorb all the goodness while keeping the energy steady and grounded.

The Elemental Architecture of Everflow

If we look at Everflow through the lens of the elements, it’s very clearly Water-ruled.

Water governs nourishment, lactation, hydration, and emotional flow — all essential for a healthy postpartum ecosystem. But water, on its own, needs form and warmth to stay vital.

That’s where the Earth and Fire elements come in.

Earth gives structure — the minerals, the tone, the physical stability that holds everything together (that’s nettle’s gift).
Fire brings warmth and movement — the gentle activation that keeps energy circulating and milk flowing (from moringa and ginger).
Water supplies the flow, the moistening, the replenishment — marshmallow’s tender contribution.

So you could say: Everflow = 70% Water, 15% Earth, 15% Fire.
Nourishment, structure, and gentle motion — the perfect postpartum triad.

Every plant in this blend moves with the rhythm of Water, but each expresses it differently.

Nettle is the river’s edge — lush, mineral-rich, and full of green vitality, drawing strength from deep roots in the Earth.
Moringa is the tropical rain — abundant, fast-growing, nourishing the body with sunlight distilled into leaf form.
Marshmallow is the cool, slow-moving stream — moist, soothing, and deeply restorative.
Ginger brings the warmth of the sun, ensuring the waters never stagnate.

Together, they create a living equilibrium — a dance between flow and form, moisture and tone, nourishment and movement.

That’s what makes Everflow more than just a tea — it’s a reminder of your body’s innate intelligence. A gentle return to the truth that your body knows how to give, how to nourish, how to restore... all at once.

Nourishment That Moves

What makes this blend truly special is its understanding that nourishment must move.

It’s not enough to take in nutrients if they can’t circulate through the body. It’s not enough to rest if there’s no energy to rebuild. And it’s not enough to produce milk if the mother’s own well runs dry.

Everflow was designed to replenish what’s given — not by forcing, but by remembering.
By reminding the body of its natural rhythm of flow.
By rebuilding fluids, minerals, and vitality from within.
By honoring the simple truth that giving and receiving are two sides of the same current.

Because true nourishment doesn’t stagnate — it moves.
It replenishes.
It ever flows.

How to Use

Steep 1–2 tablespoons of Everflow in hot water for 10–15 minutes (covered, to protect those delicate aromatics).

For a more mineral-rich infusion, try steeping overnight and sipping throughout the day.

Drink warm, as part of your ritual of care — maybe in those quiet dawn moments before your home wakes up, or in the golden pause between feedings.

Let the nourishment flow back to you, too.
