Introducing our versatile Bento Bread Bags, the stylish solution to keeping your homemade bread fresher for longer! Crafted with functionality and sustainability in mind, our Bento Bags are designed to revolutionize your food storage experience.

Say goodbye to stale and moldy bread woes! Our Bento Bags are expertly crafted from premium, breathable cotton and linen, allowing your homemade bread to breathe while maintaining its moisture levels. This unique design ensures that your bread stays fresh and delicious for days on end, without the need for plastic or wasteful packaging.

In Florida, I keep my homemade bread in a bento bag on the counter or inside a room-temp bread box for about 3-4 days (if it even makes it that long before being devoured!), and store-bought bread for even longer (preservatives?). If you refrigerate, place the bread loaf inside the bento bag and then into a produce drawer with the humidity turned up. I have found that the refrigerator tends to draw the moisture out of the bread unless it's in the humidity drawer.

But that's not all – our Bento Bags are incredibly versatile. Their spacious interior and squared corners make them perfect for storing loaves of all shapes and sizes, from crusty artisanal bread to fluffy brioche, or even to keep your fruits. Plus, their compact design and versatile ties make them ideal for on-the-go snacking or picnics in the park and they fold for storage in your drawers.

A Bento bag, also known as an Azuma Bukuro, is a traditional Japanese-style bag characterized by its simple, square or rectangular shape and a unique folding technique. Originally used to carry bento boxes (Japanese packed lunches), these bags have evolved into versatile accessories suitable for various purposes, including grocery shopping, carrying personal items, or even as decorative accents in home decor.

The history of the Bento bag dates back centuries in Japan. The term "Azuma Bukuro" translates to "Azuma bag," with "Azuma" referring to the eastern region of Japan where this style of bag originated. Traditionally, these bags were handmade from scrap fabric or old kimonos, emphasizing frugality and sustainability.

Each Bento Bread Bag is made with a gorgeous contrasting material on the interior and top stitched for extra durability. The measurements of each bag are 14 inches in length, 8 inches in height in the middle (between the ties), and 15 inches from the bottom to the top of the ties.

Machine washable on gentle cycle (without detergent since storing food in it) and either hang dry or tumble on low for a few minutes and hang dry the remainder. Easily ironable if it becomes wrinkled.
