The summer siesta is officially coming to an end. 🌿
After a long, hot summer of slowing down, regrouping, dreaming up new things, and letting the apothecary breathe a little, Morningstar Medicinals is waking back up for the autumn season.
And I... WE... have a lot to look forward to.
A Little Apothecary Housekeeping
If you've visited the website recently, you may have noticed that things are looking a little different and/or sparse in some of the collections.
The Morningstar online shop is currently under maintenance while I give everything a good autumn cleaning. I'm reorganizing, simplifying, updating product information, and generally getting the digital apothecary ready for the season ahead.
There are also a couple of items currently on clearance, so if you've been waiting for a little something, now is a good time to have a look.
The website will continue to evolve over the next several weeks as I get everything ready for the fall and holiday seasons.
Saturday Markets Are Coming Back
I'll be returning to my regular Saturday markets at Woodbine beginning in September.
I'm so excited to be back among familiar faces after the summer break, and especially thrilled to bring the apothecary into my favorite season of the year.
There will be one little interruption, though.
From September 15 through October 3, I'll be taking an Italian holiday. 🇮🇹
This isn't entirely a vacation in the traditional sense, either. Of course, I am elated to be back in my favorite place with my hubby and baby (Caspian was made in Italy, after all 😜). AND Italy has long been a source of inspiration for my herbal practice, and I'm looking forward to wandering through apothecaries, tasting bitters, exploring herbal traditions, and filling an entire notebook with ideas for Morningstar's future. I've got some ideas up my sleeve, for sure.
So if you see me disappear for a few weeks in September, don't worry. I'm off gathering inspiration.
And Then… Christmas Lights & Holiday Markets
This year, Morningstar Medicinals will be joining Sowell Farms for their Christmas light show and holiday market season!
The Sowell Farms Christmas markets begin November 20 and run through the Christmas light season.
I'm especially excited about this one because it means Morningstar gets to be part of a little bit of holiday magic—lights, local makers, herbal gifts, and all the cozy things that make this time of year special.
I'll have seasonal favorites, giftable apothecary goods, little herbal treasures, and plenty of things for stocking stuffers and holiday giving.

Two Online Shop Drops This Fall
Once the website maintenance is finished, I'm moving to a much more intentional drop schedule for the online shop.
Rather than trying to keep every single thing stocked all the time, I'll be bringing products back in seasonal batches. Save these dates!
October 11 — Autumn Seasonal + Staples
The first drop will be Sunday, October 11, featuring seasonal offerings alongside the Morningstar staples you know and reach for year-round.
This will be the big autumn restock after my summer siesta and Italian travels.
November 15 — The Holiday Drop
Then, on Sunday, November 15, we'll have the Morningstar Holiday Drop.
This will be all about holiday goods, seasonal favorites, little gifts, stocking stuffers, and the special things I've been dreaming up for the Christmas season.
That gives us two very distinct moments to restock the online apothecary—and gives me the breathing room to make everything thoughtfully rather than constantly chasing inventory.
Autumn at Morningstar
So, here we go.
The summer pause is ending, the apothecary is getting cleaned up, the Saturday markets are returning, Italy is waiting on the horizon, and Christmas lights will be glowing before we know it.
September: Saturday markets return at Woodbine
