Where Dewdrop addresses dry lungs, Kindling is designed for the opposite pattern: cold, damp congestion with thick mucus.

In this tissue state, the lungs feel heavy and sluggish, mucus accumulates, and coughing becomes productive but stubborn. Kindling works by bringing warmth, circulation, and movement to these damp respiratory tissues.

Elecampane and horehound are traditional expectorants that help break up and move mucus from the lungs. Osha and lomatium provide deep respiratory immune support and help stimulate circulation through the bronchial tissues.

Angelica and garlic bring warming, diffusive energy that helps move stagnation and improve blood flow, while a touch of licorice helps protect and balance the respiratory lining.

Energetically, Kindling warms and dries damp lung tissue while encouraging healthy mucus clearance. It is best suited for the wet, congested cough pattern that often accompanies lingering colds or respiratory infections.

Like all of my therapeutic formulas, Kindling is intended for short-term use during acute illness rather than long-term daily supplementation.

Contraindications

• Licorice Root: Should not be used if you are on medications that affect potassium levels.
• Lomatium Root: Rarely, may cause a rash in sensitive individuals; discontinue use if this occurs.
